On Sept. 13, 2023, Shrek Crocs were released, nourishing the inner youth of college students across America.

With a 7.9 rating on IMDB, “Shrek” is a classic movie for all audiences. The titular protagonist is a green, unsightly ogre who lives in a swamp and is on a mission to save Princess Fiona. Although the film was released in 2001, students still cannot get enough of it.

“‘Shrek’ never disappoints ever since I was a kid,” said Ben Newell. “We drove about an hour to get the Crocs.”

The crocs are a lemon-lime green and come with Shrek’s iconic ears and nose attached to the shoe. The heel strap is brown and fuzzy. The shoe has a sport mode and a relaxed mode, which can be changed via the heel strap.

“The sports mode works really well,” said Brett Wish.

Students feel comfortable wearing the crocs, which provides them with an opportunity to show off and be creative.

“My favorite thing about wearing Crocs is that they’re universal when it comes to their use and you can wear them to go to the pool and the beach,” said Justin Torres, a freshman.

The Crocs can be purchased through company’s website and sell for $59.99. However, shoppers can receive a 15 percent discount by typing in their email address.

The film has a happy ending as Shrek and Fiona fall in love and kiss. It teaches audiences to not judge based on appearances, celebrates the power of love and the importance of friendship. Shrek Crocs are a wearable reminder of these important life lessons for all.
