This year has seen numerous incredible films premiere; however, there are numerous other projects awaiting their release.

The remainder of 2023 has some long-awaited films lined up for their debuts, including “Killers of the Flower Moon,” “Napoleon” and “Poor Things.”

While the critical reception of some of these upcoming films is yet to be seen, their arrivals are highly anticipated by both moviegoers and the industry.

“Killers of the Flower Moon” premiered at Cannes Film Festival in May and received high praise. Alongside “Poor Things” and “Napoleon,” “Killers of the Flower Moon” is expected to win awards due to the performance of its cast and the work of its Oscar-winning directors.

“My most anticipated film is ‘Killers of the Flower Moon,’” said Sam Cohen, a junior at Lynn Univesity. “As a big fan of Martin Scorsese, I’m interested in seeing what his next film brings.”

While all the aforementioned films are expected to garner attention at award cermenoies, plenty of other soon-to-be-released films will be entertaining for audeinces, including “The Marvels,” “Five Nights at Freddy’s” and “Wonka.”

“’Five Nights at Freddy’s’ is my most anticipated movie,” said Peter Ferraro, a junior. “After getting announced 10 years ago, we finally have a chance to see the fan favorite video game adapted into a movie.”

“I am looking forward to watching ‘Napoleon,’” said Garrett Burdette, a junior. “I feel like Ridley Scott and Joaquin Phoenix working together again will be interesting.”

Many Lynn students will soon have the opportunity to watch these films. Their critical success is yet to be determined, but it is already clear that 2023 will go down in history as one of the best years for films.
