New York Hosts the Biggest Fashion Event of the Century

It is that time of year again when celebrities descend on New York City for the biggest fashion event of the century.
Each year, many people look forward to what New York Fashion Week will offer by way of new styles and high-end brands. But they also look forward to seeing which celebrities will make appearances at some of the shows.
“Due to the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show being on hold for a little while, I was most eager to watch that show,” said Victoria Ardener, a senior.
New York Fashion Week is like a rite of passage for women in the fashion industry, as it is a big deal for new and upcoming models who usually start out by walking at the shows. The presence of big-name celebrities making an appearance only magnifies the importance of the highly anticipated event.
“I looked forward to seeing people like actress Blake Lively or influencers such as Alix Earle and Xandra Pahol,” said Sami Freed, a sophomore.
Another part of what people love about New York Fashion Week is seeing all the new and upcoming styles the brands have chosen for the fall season. Celebrities and their expensive glam are what many people look forward to in advance of the event.
“I can totally see girls wearing these upcoming fashion trends,” said Max Post, a Lynn graduate student.
With the fall having just begun, Fashion Week happens at the best time of the year to help those following the latest trends stay in tune with latest in fashion.
