Lionfish is a favorite restaurant of many Lynn University students. Located just 10 minutes from campus, this hidden culinary gem is located at Delray Beach’s bustling Atlantic Avenue.

With its chic and vibrant atmosphere, it is the perfect destination for a dinner following a long day of classes or a special date night. The restaurant offers a variety of menu options, including a wealth of delicious and inventive seafood dishes, like its namesake lionfish ceviche, tuna pizza topped with a truffle mustard aioli and crispy rock shrimp.

If you are not a fan of seafood, there is plenty of land-based options the menu offers. Other top-tier dishes include beef tartare, wagyu steak and grilled half chicken dukkah with a mint tahini yogurt.

Lionfish offers a nice balance between luxury and accessibility, making it a welcoming option for students with a variety tastes and budgets. With reasonable prices, high quality dishes and a vibrant ambience, it is an excellent choice for a dining out with friends.

The restaurant takes eco-friendliness to the next level. According to David Weis, the head bartender at Lionfish, “Even the leftover limes are dehydrated and put to good use, leaving no waste behind.”

“I like Lionfish’s commitment to sustainability in the hospitality industry,” mentioned Christian Carden, a senior. “It’s a definite bonus for a dining spot that already offers a great experience.”

Lionfish is more than just a restaurant; it is a sustainability hotspot. The restaurant cares about the environment and demonstrates that with its zero-waste philosophy.

“We want a whole experience for diners. Where is the food coming from? Who pulled the fish out of the water? Where did those microgreens come from? Is your server engaged? Is the lighting right? Is the music right? That’s the [commitment] we’re bringing to this emerging climate in Delray,” said Craig O’Keefe, the managing partner of Clique Hospitality, a restaurant group that includes nationwide locations including Las Vegas, San Diego, Newport Beach and Chicago.

“It’s within us to care about the environment and support local farmers and fishing companies while presenting elegant flavors,” said Weis.

The next time you find yourself in the Delray Beach, remember to visit Lionfish and enjoy one of many sustainable dishes that can match every taste and every occasion.
