Greek Fall Recruitment and a History in the Making Expecting Fall Greek Recruitment to Be the Best Yet

Greek Life’s 2021 fall recruitment is expected to be the best yet with Lynn’s second-largest incoming class on campus. Sigma Sigma Sigma, Theta Phi Alpha, Sigma Alpha Epsilon, Alpha Phi Delta and Zeta Beta Tau members are looking forward to welcoming new members.

With COVID-19 creating obstacles last year, Greek Life hopes to have more in-person events this year to create new experiences for potential members. Although there is still the question of how much will be in-person versus how much will be via Zoom, Greek Life is preparing for either scenario.

“I am excited to meet potential new members, to establish new friendships and to grow our chapter,” said Mark Woort-Menker, rush chair of Sigma Alpha Epsilon.

With the Class of 2025 settling in, Greek Life is working hard to prepare for its best recruitment yet, getting the word out about its national organizations and chapters on Lynn’s campus.

“Being the former recruitment director of Tri Sigma and now holding the president position, I am definitely very excited to take in new members in the fall. We had a lot of transfers and graduating girls leave this semester, so having so many spots open and room for growth is so exciting! I can’t wait to see what this next semester brings for this organization,” said Gabriella Baratta, president of Sigma Sigma Sigma.

With a Greek organization comes commitment, history and dedication. Not only do members get to wear their letters proudly, but they get to be part of an organization like Sigma Sigma Sigma that has been around since 1898.

“When looking for potential new members, our chapter seeks individuals that we feel embody our creed, The True Gentleman,” said Jake Moll, president of Sigma Alpha Epsilon.

National Greek organizations have positively impacted society for an extensive amount of time and continue to help improve society today. Greek Life involves volunteering, raising money and acts of community service through national and local philanthropies. Each chapter on Lynn’s campus contributes to their respective causes at Lynn, in the community of Boca Raton and nationally.

The five organizations’ members have passion for their sororities or fraternities and are looking forward to welcoming new members in Fall 2021.
