Springing Into The End Of The Semester

Lynn University’s annual Spring Fest will be taking place the week of April 24-28 to help students celebrate all of the hard work that they have put in year long.

Spring Fest will host a week’s worth of a variety of fun activities for students, staff and faculty to participate in. This event is open to the Lynn community and is free for all students.

“Spring Fest was always something I looked forward to after a hard day at practice,” said Jacob Van Leenen, senior. “Good food, fun rides and hanging out with my friends was the best time.”

On Monday April 24, Lynn is scheduled to introduce Caribbean Wet Fete, a celebration of Caribbean culture, food and music. Following a surprise entertainment guest on Tuesday, Lynn is set to host its biggest event of the week, Spring Fest Carnival, on Wednesday, April 26. Those in attendance will enjoy a night of food, fun, live music and games to kick-off the spring season.

“Expect a lot of fun and excitement,” said Jaclyn Kuwik, coordinator for student involvement. “We really transform the campus for the Spring Fest Carnival. Also, look out for fun t-shirts.”

Thursday, April 27 will host Lynn’s annual Casino Night, followed by Lynn’s Celebration of the Arts on Friday, April 28. This finale event showcases art and performance and features productions of music, theatre and the fine arts.

“I love going to Spring Fest,” said Sara Mcaveney, senior. “It is one of my favorite traditions at Lynn. [The university] always brings in great food vendors and I always look forward to the freshly squeezed lemonade and fried Oreos.

“The rides and live music also help to make this a very fun day on campus for everyone, said Mcaveney. “It is a great way to de-stress.”
