4KIDS of South Florida recently celebrated the 25,000+ lives impacted by the program at their 4KIDS Night of Celebration, hosted at the Sunset Cove Amphitheater in Boca Raton.
“Night of Celebration has all the makings of a fun, family night,” said Katy Mills, Vice President of 4KIDS Partner of Engagement. “And the best part is while you and your kids are enjoying all the entertainment and activities, you are helping more kids find the home they need.”
Since 1997 the 4KIDS organization has developed a community that has propelled the vision of a home for every child in need. Families were invited to participate in the activities on “Impact Avenue” which featured a family zone with carnival games, face painting and fun for every age, a luminary path, fireworks finale as well as a performance by Hawk Nelson, bringing hits like “Diamonds” and “Live Like You’re Loved.”
“It touched me to see so many children who were affected by this foster care organization,” said Mikal Meadows, 20. “I really enjoyed seeing all the families having fun there as well.”
Whether they had been on the journey since the start or were new to 4KIDS, families came together to celebrate hope and homes for thousands of children in crisis. The program has tallied 1,000 families that have opened their hearts and homes to kids in crisis through 4KIDS foster families.
The organization was founded with the intention to help adolescents of a wide range of issues find a safe home to provide a foundation that may help them grow to flourish later in life., beginning with young children removed from their homes to young adults aging out of the foster care system. 4KIDS has partnered with a multitude of committed individuals, churches, corporations and government agencies to provide hope for more than 20,000 children so far.
