Nothing Suits Him Like a New Suit

Kevin Murray is a sophomore at Lynn with an eccentric style, even when in business attire.

As a serious dancer, Murray’s wardrobe is generally urban/hip-hop oriented. He draws his daily inspiration from a famous dance duo, Les Twins, who typically call on extravagant high top sneakers and brightly colored shirts to make an impact on the fashion world. Murray’s usual look can be described in a similar way.

On occasion however, Murray will flaunt a black suit with a royal purple undershirt, matched with a shiny pair of leather shoes; a pair of wild socks serving as the only reminder of his signature style. This outfit is still flashy, but in a different, more tamed way.

Those who observe Murray’s weekly rotation of more mixed-and-matched outfits are sure to be caught off guard when they witness his sudden change of attire.

“Life is always going to be uncomfortable. We need to become comfortable being uncomfortable,” said Murray. He believes that by stepping out of his comfort zone once in a while, he is able to explore his mind and achieve a stronger sense of character.

Murray believes that what people wear is inevitably a reflection of how they will behave. On days when he wears a suit, Murray states that he will get more work done based on the fact that he is portraying the image of the suited man – one who takes care of his responsibilities with class, stature and a wholesome attitude.

Murray enjoys retaining his wild style even if it means doing so in the subtle details of the outfit, like his wild colored socks. These work as a reminder of Murray’s unpredictable style.

It makes one question what happens when stepping out of their own comfort zone in terms of what they wear. Although there are many different ways one can work their style, it is important to let your personality shine through, regardless of what others think.

, nor in any way implied, any of things you’re ascribing to me. You know fully well I bring alot of good, solid information and facts to “OD” for my fellow White Americans. Go be tough with someone else. Distorting my words around so as to give yourself a reason to mouth off and prove your toughness is bullshit.

Really enjoyed this. I have to enjoy these places vicariously now: how I wish I’d done more travelling when I was younger! Question though: I have heard that Venice is a bit smelly. Is that still true?
