Lynn University Community Attends “The Dialogues Speaker Series” to See Lee Asher

On Nov. 30, 2023, Lee Asher spoke at the Keith C. and Elaine Johnson Wold Performing Arts Center to share his journey on becoming an animal rescue advocate.

Asher is also a motivational speaker and stars in his Animal Planet series, “My Pack Life.” In the show, Asher builds a sanctuary for animals including horses, alpacas and rams to create a thriving environment for them.

“Justin Bartlett Animal Rescue was invited to this event, and we are supporters of Lee especially with what he does with senior dogs, and we want to support Lynn University and the relationship they have with Lee,” said Janet Pelosi Diamond, Asher fan. “We watch his show all the time and share his videos with our staff, volunteers and supporters.”

While Asher might make it look so, saving animals is not easy. A couple of years ago, he drove an RV through 49 states, and Canada, with 11 dogs that were going to be euthanized. After traveling with the dogs for more than three years, Lee was motivated to build an animal sanctuary and realized that the dogs were the ones to inspire people to rescue them.

“He started off with nothing and now he has a farm in Oregon with almost 100 dogs,” said Debra Severa, patron of the Asher House. “What Lee is doing has the power to impact the world because so many animals need to be saved.”

Asher also has a big heart for people. At the event, many of his fans, friends and even school tutor were in attendance. He also gave great advice to those who want to rescue animals.

“Do it with love and compassion,” said Asher. “It’s going to be great.”

Asher will continue to save animals and create a community of people who share the same goals. To donate to The Asher House, visit https://www.theasherhouse.com/pages/donate
