Delray Beach’s Morikami Museum and Japanese Gardens offer a wealth of activities, but one of particular interest to college students is its Stroll for Well-Being. The attraction provides a discounted admission rate to students who would like to walk the gardens peacefully.

The center for Japanese arts and culture encompaases a 16-acres campus featuring various artworks throughout. The walk is silent to help participants destress while taking in the natural and artistic sites.

Across the property, six different gardens can be visited, each of which has a relevance to its culture and tells a story of its people.

After participating, many students return to the gardens due to their silent journey resulting in personal growth, awareness and peace.

The concept of stress relief is integral to students, and learning to practice mindfulness by participating in activities — like Morikami’s Stroll for Well-Being — helps develop mental and emotional fortitude in the long run.
