Florida Partners with Publix

As the Moderna and Pfizer doses became available, DeSantis and the Florida Health Department thought of various vaccination sites that Floridians could go to. With more than 800 locations in the state, Publix best fits the great demand.

“Feedback [for the vaccine] has been uniformly positive,” said DeSantis during a press conference. “At the end of the day, we wanted to expand Publix, because it’s been successful.”

The state has also expanded its partnership with Publix to all 67 locations in Palm Beach County. About 100,000 people residing in the county have received both doses since the Publix partnership was announced.

“I am very thankful to Governor DeSantis and his administration for everything they are doing,” said Dave Kerner, Palm Beach County Mayor. “Publix, the Florida Department of Health and the Florida Division of Emergency Management have been great partners and we are very encouraged by these fantastic results.”
