With Thanksgiving just around the corner, Lynn University students who are staying in town for the holiday have a unique opportunity to experience the city’s diverse culinary offerings. The restaurants in Boca Raton, Florida, are ready to make this Thanksgiving special for all.

“This is the first time I’m staying in Boca during the break, and my family is traveling to visit me. Since I live in the dorms, it is a great option for us to go out for dinner during the holidays,” said Nora Christiassen, a Lynn junior.

Farmer’s Table, a restaurant at the Wyndham Boca Raton, is a familiar name for many students. This year, on Thursday, Nov. 23, they are offering a Thanksgiving buffet that will be a fusion of traditional holiday fare and delectable treats. Some popular dishes at the restaurant include chickpea crusted salmon ($32) and black pearl lentil Bolognese ($22).

For an upscale Thanksgiving dinner, Lynn students can try West Palm Beach’s Pistache French Bistro. The restaurant is set to host a Thanksgiving dinner on Nov. 23 from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m. Guests can anticipate a three-course plated dinner crafted by Executive Chef Mike Michael Burgio, with popular items including grilled Faroe Island salmon ($36) and the moules frites marinières ($35), a simple yet elegant dish of mussels, butter, garlic and shallots.

“As an international student, I would love to try a traditional Thanksgiving dinner,” said Micaela Dongo, a Lynn senior. “I am open to going out and having a Friendsgiving at a restaurant and skipping the cooking.”

Located in Mizner Park, Max’s Grille is another option for a Thanksgiving dinner. The restaurant will offer an a la carte menu, which is a great opportunity to try traditional dishes while still being able to order popular dishes from their original menu, such as the sesame seared tuna, ($21-$40) or the bacon-wrapped meatloaf ($27). Max’s Grille will be featuring the Thanksgiving menu Nov. 23 from 12p.m. to 7 p.m.

If one desires an intimate dinner but wants to skip the cooking, many area restaurants offer delivery options so those wishing to stay at home can enjoy Thanksgiving menu specials.

“At home, we usually order Thanksgiving dinner, but now, staying here with friends. We’re considering a traditional dinner,” said Patricio Lastra, a Lynn junior. “We’ll likely order from a nearby restaurant.”

As Thanksgiving is weeks away, college students remaining in Boca Raton are discovering diverse opportunities to explore the city’s culinary landscape. Some restaurants have risen to the occasion, ensuring that this Thanksgiving is special for all.
