Scores of Flags Sit in Front of Lynn’s Admissions Building

As a Moroccan citizen, these flags make Lynn feel more like home,” said Mamoun Bennouna, a Lynn University student from Morocco. The idea for these flags was to symbolize the incredible diversity of the Lynn University student population. Lynn University has one of the most diverse student populations out of any college in the United States – and these flags are a perfect way to represent that and give students a reminder that they are home at Lynn University.

“Wow, this is really cool,” said Deborah Saff, a mother visiting campus with her child considering enrollment. Yvonne S. Boice went as far as creating a fund to consistently care for the flag. These flags were also an iconic symbol for Lynn University in 2012, when Lynn’s campus was

“As an American, I am able to look at these flags and appreciate the environment Lynn University has created for me. I am able to learn so much from my peers due to their diverse backgrounds, and consequently I feel like my college experience has become more complete,” said Tessa Owens, 2023. The diversity Lynn University has created benefits domestic students just as much as it benefits international students.

Yes, Lynn has created a wonderful environment for these international students, but the domestic students benefit just as much because their education happens both inside and outside of the classroom – with their professors, and with their international peers.
