On Tuesday, April 25, the Lynn community of students and faculty are invited to attend Lynn University’s Student Athlete Award Show and Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony.

This event will take place in the Wold Performing Arts Center and is scheduled to occur at 7:30 p.m.

“This will be a fantastic event put on to honor our student-athletes and to recognize the history of our athletic department with the induction of our hall of famers,” said Chad Beattie, director of emerging media and athletic communications.“It is a night to relax and have fun.”

The purpose of this ceremony is to reward the hardworking athletes and teams that were a part of the Lynn Fighting Knights 2016- 2017 season. All students and staff are welcome to attend this public commencement.

“It is really great for all athletes to come together and recap all of the accomplishments that have happened this year,” said Nikki Colonna, junior. “It is also fun to socialize with friends from different teams throughout the night and to celebrate our accomplishments both as teams and as individuals.”

Attendees can expect to experience the tightly knit community of Lynn Fighting Knights that have come together to recognize and celebrate the hard work and determination set forth by athletes and coaches.

“The Athletics Banquet is one night where our students get to have some fun and be honored,” said Sara Quatrocky, associate athletic director. “I am really looking forward to seeing our alumni inducted into the Hall of Fame and seeing the new videos that our communications department has made.”

“I am definitely looking forward to the athletics banquet this year,” said Cristina Llorens, senior. “It will be bittersweet for me knowing that it is my last one ever, but I know that my teammates and all of the athletes here at Lynn work hard season long. It will be nice to see them being rewarded for it.”

“I love this event because it is a way of giving back to the student-athlete community,” said Beattie. “I am extremely fortunate to be allowed access into this student-athlete fraternity and this is a way to give back to them and have fun.”
