“The Life and Times of Merle Singer” Documentary

Information Provided By Professor Martin J. Phillips

“The Life and Times of Merle Singer” documents the courageous battle local Boca Raton, Florida retired Rabbi Merle Singer is fighting. He was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in the early 2000s. Rabbi Singer is determined not to give up and demonstrates how actively battling the debilitating symptoms can improve one’s quality of life. The documentary traces Rabbi Singer’s visit to a world famous New York specialist who explains how while Parkinson’s is a progressive disease, one’s state of mind can temporarily stave off the symptoms. This is a “must see” for those who each year are diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease.

This was a wonderful, invigorating documentary of Rabbi Singer, I am proud to have been a congregant at Temple Beth El when he was the Senior Rabbi….what a wonderful inspiration he should be to all.
