First Forty Finale

Lynn’s Center for Student Involvement is hosting the First Forty Finale: Comedy Show in the Elmore Dining Commons at 6:30 p.m. tomorrow.

The final event will feature two comedians, Steven Hoffstetter and Erin Jackson. The event is meant to be a culmination of all of the first 40 events, which were held nearly everyday thus far in the semester. This is the final celebration for the commemoration of students coming back for the fall semester and the year ahead.

“This event is not only a time for students to have fun and come together but commemorates the completion of the first 40 days of the semester,” said Jaclyn Kuwik, Coordinator with Student Involvement. “Students have accomplished so much so there is a lot to celebrate.”

The Center for Student Involvement is consistently hosting events that bring together the diverse students of Lynn University. The center’s finale event is different each year but the intent is always the same: come together and celebrate the students of Lynn.

“At the event last year, the atmosphere was so light hearted and everyone really bonded,” said Sarah Henry, a student worker with the women’s center. “It’ll be so nice to have that fun opportunity again this year.”

Those who work to create these fun-filled events strive to make it engaging for all students.

“I guess the First Forty Finale is really a way for the Center for Student Involvement and the Student Activities Board to say thanks to the student body for participating in the first 40,” said Jawaun Rogers, Coordinator with Student Involvement. “The programs really offer a lot for students to learn and grow so being able to sit back and have a laugh is really beneficial to all.”
