An End to Hurricane Matthew (for Boca Raton)

The following information has been provided to us by lynn.edu/alert and is the final hurricane update. iPulse thanks all of the first responders, faculty, staff and students for all of their dedication and hard work to helping maintain a safe campus during Hurricane Matthew.


Lynn University’s campus was minimally impacted by the storm.

Please be advised that:

Lynn’s 24-hour dining hall and Athletics practice schedules have resumed normal operations.
The campus fitness center will be open from 12-5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
The library will be open Saturday from 11 a.m.-6 p.m. and Sunday from 12-8 p.m.
University business offices remain closed through Sunday.
Weekend classes remain cancelled.
Campus resumes regular operations Monday, Oct. 10.
Once again we thank all of our students and employees for their cooperation before, during and after the storm. We look forward to seeing you on Monday!

This is the final Lynn.edu/alert update.
The campus lockdown has been lifted. Students can leave the residence halls, as needed. Be sure keep your ID with you at all times. First responders should assemble in the dining hall at 8 a.m. for further instruction.

Please be advised of the following:

A continental breakfast will be served for on-campus residents and first responders from 7-10 a.m. 24-hour dining will resume at 10 a.m.
At this time, the library and other campus offices will remain closed through Sunday.
Classes and regular campus activities will resume on Monday.
We ask our community to exercise caution and restraint from travelling off campus until daylight hours in order to provide the city time to its restore normal operations.

The emergency response team expresses gratitude to all students and employees on campus for their behavior and cooperation during the storm. Hurricanes are major and highly unpredictable events. In these cases, we must plan for the worst and hope for the best, and in this instance, campus was minimally impacted. Thank you again.
