Apple is known for keeping its customers on edge when it comes to new technological advances. However, the tech tycoon shocked consumers by introducing a brand new model of the iPhone smaller than any of its predecessors.

Recently, Apple launched a new 4-inch iPhone that has the same A9 chip used in the iPhone 6S at half the price of the iPhone 6. When the iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus debuted, some consumers voiced their complaints regarding the size of the phone.

For a smaller handed individual, the 6 seemed like too much to handle but the quality seemed unbeatable. The 5SE is here to fix that problem for anyone who may have felt this way.

“I mean the idea of it should have came out with the 6,” said Shaunna Pratt, a local Apple store visitor. “I am completely happy with my 6 but yeah I would buy it.

It’s smart and it’s cute and awkward, but unlike the iPhone 6 it would probably fit into my [pocket] when I’m out a bit better anyway.” Another iPhone user said it was a no brainier.

“I would definitely recommend this device if you couldn’t care less about the screen size,” said Brendon McClain, shopper.

However, some consumers feel as though this release is just another gimmick for the franchise and in a few months Apple will discontinue the new model. “I think people better buy the phone now while they have a chance to be honest,” said Erin Musgrove.

“It’s at a really good price, too, but we know what will happen if they notice it’s too cheap.” The new iPhone 5SE also features a 12-megapixel iSight camera, Live Photos, Retina Flash and is available in four colors. The prices range from $400 to $500.
