With school back in session and a high demand for top-notch tunes in the music community, Lynn and Palm Beach State students are taking charge of hosting a new monthly event at Hardrock’s Passion Nightclub.

Students say they are tired of driving to Miami just to hear good music and are relieved to have found a cool, hip place where all music genres are welcome.

“When I arrived at 11:30 p.m. there was a solid vibe which pretty much remained the whole night,” said Timo Salerno, junior. “I liked the sound system and the peoples’ reaction to the music.”

Located in Fort Lauderdale, Passion Night Club is a unique venue with three different rooms, each complete with their own style of music and separate DJ. This makes for an interesting night, with open format and EDM in the main room, techno on the terrace, and salsa in the Latin room.

“Our party was hosted on the second floor of the venue, on [Passion’s] lavishing terrace,” said David Matos of Palm Beach State. “The crowd was very responsive and highly pleased with all aspects of the production. Everyone involved is eager for the next event.”

The event was full of friends, laughter and dancing. The venue has a young vibe and has certainly grasped the needs of college students in the area.

“This night is about rekindling the underground electronic music scene in Broward,” said Matos.

Passion strives to provide its attendees with a broad spectrum of music. At all times three separate DJ’s are spinning, and the energy stays high all night.

“The music was on point,” said Salerno. “Even some people from the main room came to check out the music and stayed upstairs jamming to techno all night.”

For those interested in having a great time while listening to some awesome music, Passion is open Friday and Saturday night. Located at 5701 Seminole Way, it is sure to perk up any weekend.
