For over six years, Jaclyn Kuwik, the former director of the Center of Student Involvement, was one of Lynn University’s most dedicated staff members.

She worked with students and staff, creating a better co-curricular transcript and experience for every student.

Kuwik started as coordinator for the center in 2016, managing all aspects of the New Student Transitional Program, always with a smile on her face. She had the initiative of starting a new project to improve the experience of Lynn students.

“She is incredibly supportive; I always knew that I could bring an idea to her, and she would help me make it work,” said Director for Student Involvement Garrett Horejsi.

After two years as a coordinator, Kuwik devised a plan to make Lynn’s extracurricular programs more attractive and a better fit for students. She always showed how much she cared about every person knew.  That is why was beloved by all.

Kuwik created a better transitional program for incoming freshman and transfer students by redesigning the pre-orientation program.

“Jaclyn is one of the most selfless people that I ever met,” said Horejsi. “She allows me to speak up and learn how to battle my own battles.”

In 2018, Kuwik was promoted to assistant director of Student Involvement, taking on a lot more responsibility by helping further the Center for Student Involvement and the integration of curricular and co-curricular programs on campus.

“Working with Jaclyn was an honor and a pleasure. She was a great leader and advocate of our students,” said Lauren Harding, assistant director for Student Involvement. “She was also a wonderful colleague and friend.”

In 2020, Kuwik was once again promoted, this time to director of Student Involvement. In this role, she supervised staff and aided her team in overseeing all students and their co-curricular transcripts.

It was then that Kuwik created the co-curricular transcript, where students can compile and reflect on all the programs they had participated in over the years into a more accurate and intentional transcript to demonstrate their growth and learning to potential future employers. Students can visit the Center for Student Involvement, located in the University Cent, to learn more about theiroptions and how to get started on building co-curriculum transcripts.
